Obverse description Effigy of Queen Azarmidokht facing right, depicted with a mural crown surmounted by a frontal crescent, two wings, and a star set upon the crescent, with ribbon flowing from the left shoulder and a crescent with ribbon on the right shoulder. Stars flank the crown on either side, while star-in-crescent devices are arranged in the outer margin, characteristic of late Sasanian royal iconography. The portrait is executed in the hammered relief style typical of Sasanian silver coinage, with fine detailing in the royal regalia. An Inscriptional Pahlavi legend accompanies the royal bust in the field.
