| Reverse description | A Zoroastrian fire altar with pendant ribbons occupies the central field, flanked symmetrically by two standing attendants facing the altar, a composition standard on Sasanian drachms. A star and crescent motif flank the flames atop the altar, reinforcing the sacred and dynastic symbolism. Star-in-crescent devices populate the outer margin, consistent with obverse peripheral decoration. The entire design is rendered in hammered relief with the crisp, formulaic style characteristic of late Sasanian mint production. |
