| Obverse description | Draped bust of Aphrodite facing right, her finely rendered hair swept back in flowing waves and secured by a sphendone, with a single spiral curl descending behind the ear; a pendant earring adorns the lobe. The goddess is depicted in fine Hellenistic style with delicate facial features and a graceful neck, the hair rendered in high relief with individualized striations. The field is plain and the design is enclosed by a border of raised dots. |
