The neck is bare and the portrait occupies the full field of the flan, with no surrounding legend. | Description du revers | Arsaces I or II seated in three-quarter view to the right upon an omphalos or throne, holding a bow in the right hand as the symbol of Parthian royal and martial authority. The figure wears Parthian dress with detailed drapery folds visible on the torso and legs. The Greek legend ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ appears in the left field, identifying the issuer. Additional Aramaic or Parthaic symbols appear in the left field beside the seated figure. The overall composition follows the standard Arsacid reverse type established for early Parthian coinage. |
