Obverse description Diademed head of Ariarathes V Eusebes in right-facing profile, the royal diadem tied at the nape with ribbon ends trailing behind. The portrait is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with finely articulated facial features, a strong jawline, and elaborately styled hair swept back from the forehead in layered waves. The flan is slightly irregular with no border or surrounding legend, the effigy occupying the full field in the manner characteristic of Cappadocian royal coinage.

Reverse description Athena Nikephoros standing facing, head turned to the left, clad in peplos and aegis, holding a small figure of Nike in her extended right hand and resting her left hand on a large round shield set at her feet, with a spear resting diagonally in the crook of her left arm. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΡΙΑΡΑΘΟΥ ΕΥΣΕΒΟΥΣ runs in the outer fields to the left and right, with three monograms distributed in the field and the regnal year ΓΛ (Year 33) inscribed in the exergue.
