| Obverse description | Draped royal bust in right profile, surmounted by an elaborate mural crown incorporating a frontal crescent, two outward-spreading wings, and a korymbos set upon a crescent finial. A ribbon issues from the left shoulder while a crescent and pendant ribbon adorn the right shoulder, both elements characteristic of Sasanian royal iconography. Small stars flank the crown in the field, serving as celestial symbols of divine kingship. The portrait is rendered in the refined late Sasanian style, with bold relief against a plain field enclosed by a beaded border. |
