| Descrizione del dritto | Facing right bust of Ardashir III in high relief, wearing the elaborate Sasanian royal crown surmounted by a distinctive globe and crescent finial, with side flanges and stepped upper elements. The king's hair falls in stylized curls beside the ear, and he wears a large pendant earring and a beaded necklace with a central medallion. The draped bust is rendered in the characteristic late Sasanian court style, enclosed within a raised beaded border. Inscriptional Pahlavi legends flank the bust to the left and right within the field, with a small decorative ornament visible below. |
