| Obverse description | Draped bust of Ardashir I facing right, wearing a distinctive Sasanian mural crown surmounted by a large globular korymbos (hair bundle) tied with a diadem, with long curled beard rendered in the characteristic beaded style of early Sasanian coinage. The king's hair falls in elaborately beaded ringlets to the shoulders, and he wears a beaded necklace. A circular Inscriptional Pahlavi legend surrounds the effigy within a beaded border, proclaiming the royal titulature. |

| Reverse description | A stepped Zoroastrian fire altar with a blazing flame issuing from the top is depicted centrally, supported on a tiered pedestal with a central column. Two royal attendants or guards are shown flanking the altar, each seated or kneeling on a low stool and facing inward toward the sacred fire, wearing diademed headdresses with ribbon ties visible in the fields. A single pellet appears in each lateral field at the base of the altar. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, with a concise Inscriptional Pahlavi legend in the upper field identifying the fire. |
