| Obverse description | Bust of Ardakhshir IV facing left, depicted in high relief with a heavily beaded beard rendered in tight curls. The ruler wears an elaborate diadem and a distinctive Persis-style headdress adorned with a floral or stellate motif at the top. An Aramaic inscription appears to the right of the effigy in the field. The portrait exhibits the refined local style characteristic of late Persis dynastic coinage, with strong facial features and layered drapery at the neck. |

| Reverse description | The reverse depicts the ruler standing or enthroned before a fire altar, rendered in the traditional Persis sacral iconography. The king is shown facing the altar in a gesture of devotion, wearing royal attire with visible drapery. Aramaic legends appear in the field to the left and right of the central design. The scene reflects the Zoroastrian religious context of the Persis dynasty, executed in the characteristically flat but detailed hammered style of the period. |
