Obverse description Youthful head of Heracles facing right, beardless, clad in the Nemean lion-skin headdress, the scalp drawn over the crown with the forepaws knotted at the throat; the rendering is accomplished in high relief with finely detailed curling locks visible beneath the pelt, consistent with the Lysippan artistic tradition adopted for Alexandrine coinage. No legend appears on the obverse field.

Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a stool-throne, his right arm extended and supporting an eagle with closed wings, his left hand grasping a long sceptre; a monogram appears in the left field, and an ivy leaf is placed beneath the throne. The reverse legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the issue in the name of Alexander III despite its production under Antigonus I Monophthalmus.
