Obverse description Youthful head of Heracles facing right, beardless, clad in the Nemean lion-skin headdress, the scalp drawn over the crown with the forepaws knotted at the throat; the rendering is accomplished in high relief with finely detailed curling locks visible beneath the pelt, consistent with the Lysippan artistic tradition adopted for Alexandrine coinage. No legend appears on the obverse field.
