正面描述 Diademed and helmeted bust of King Antialcidas facing right, draped in royal attire, wearing a crested Macedonian-style helmet adorned with a diadem. The effigy is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with fine relief modelling, conveying a regal and martial character. The field surrounding the bust is enclosed by a beaded border. A Greek legend runs around the periphery identifying the royal issuer.

附加信息

Antialcidas ruled from the eastern reaches of the Indo-Greek kingdom, likely based at Taxila, during a period when Greek authority in the subcontinent was fracturing under sustained Parthian pressure from the west and Śaka incursions from the north. His reign is one of the better-documented late Indo-Greek periods precisely because of the relatively abundant coin record — yet individual specimens still surface infrequently in Western collections. The Bopearachchi 13D classification denotes the later bilingual issues, struck with Kharoshthi script on the reverse alongside Greek, reflecting administrative accommodation to local populations rather than any weakening of Hellenistic identity.
