The facial features are boldly struck but increasingly schematized relative to authentic Sasanian prototypes, with pronounced pellet beading visible along the inner border. Flowing ribbons or diadem ties extend behind the crown, and partial marginal inscriptions in degraded Middle Persian script appear in the surrounding field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border set against a plain outer rim, characteristic of Hephthalite workshop output from Bactria. |
