Obverse description Bust of the Sasanian king facing right in the style derived from Khusro II, wearing a winged and crescent-surmounted crown with a typical royal diadem. The effigy displays a bearded profile with characteristic Sasanian stylization. Flanking the bust are crescent and pellet symbols in the inner field. Arabic inscriptions appear in the margins, including the governor's name 'Amr b. Laqit, encircling the royal portrait in the manner typical of Arab-Sasanian provincial coinage.
