| Reverse description | Central fire altar with two attendant figures standing on either side in the Sasanian tradition, depicted in stylized form. The altar is rendered with characteristic stepped base and flame rising from the top. Three crescents appear in the outer field at the cardinal positions. The surrounding border consists of multiple concentric ring patterns, and marginal legends in Arabic script provide the mint and date information consistent with Arab-Sasanian coinage of the Umayyad period. |
