The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ appears to the right of the figure, reading downward. A symbol — the forepart of a Pegasus facing right — appears in the left field as a mint control mark. The composition is characteristic of the canonical Alexandrine silver coinage struck at the Amphipolis mint. |
