| Obverse description | Sasanian-style bust of a ruler facing right at centre, depicted wearing an elaborate mural crown surmounted by a winged eagle with a star above, the hair rendered in flowing ribbons framing the face. The effigy is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with Pahlavi marginal legend surrounding. The field displays typical Arab-Sasanian treatment, preserving the iconographic conventions of late Sasanian royal portraiture.
