| Beschrijving voorzijde | Janiform double head depicted in high relief: the left head faces front with schematic facial features, while the right head faces right in profile with a bearded visage. Both heads share a common neck and are surmounted by a plain polos or helmet with a striated dome. The juxtaposition of frontal and profile views is characteristic of Eastern Mediterranean artistic influence on Philistian coinage of the Persian period. |
