The field is plain, and the flan exhibits the characteristic irregular fabric of hand-struck Hispanic coinage. The horse's head is modified with distinctly local stylistic features diverging from its Greek prototype. An Iberian legend in Levantine semi-syllabic script runs around the lower portion of the reverse field. The overall composition fills the flan dynamically, consistent with Ilergetan workshop practice of the Second Punic War period. A piercing hole is visible at the upper left of the flan. |
