Reverse description A four-rayed star with a lotus blossom filling each of the four angles between the rays, all contained within a deeply cut incuse square characteristic of early Greek coinage technique. The incuse treatment creates a strong visual contrast between the raised design elements and the recessed background. The lotus devices are rendered with careful symmetry, reflecting the artistic precision of Kyrenaican die-cutters. The overall composition is bold and geometric, consistent with the Archaic Greek aesthetic of the late sixth to early fifth century BC.
