| Obverse description | Three-quarter facing head of the nymph Larissa, turned slightly to the left, depicted in fine archaic-to-classical transitional style. The hair is bound with an ampyx and adorned with grain ears, evoking the agricultural abundance of the Thessalian plain. She wears a triple-pendant earring and a plain necklace, rendered with careful attention to decorative detail. The facial features are modelled with sensitivity, exhibiting the characteristic broad face and soft contours typical of Thessalian coinage of the early fourth century BC.
