Reverse description Deep incuse square divided by a skew or mill-sail pattern into five compartments, a hallmark of Aeginetan coinage. The recessed sections create a distinctive geometric design with raised dividing ridges. In the lower left compartment, a small dolphin is depicted swimming upward, serving as a control symbol. The incuse technique reflects the archaic punching method retained by Aegina long after other mints abandoned it.
