Obverse description Laureate head of Poseidon facing right, rendered in bold Hellenistic style with flowing, voluminous hair and a full beard. The laurel wreath is clearly delineated with individual leaves, and the facial features display a commanding, idealized divine character. The portrait fills the flan with a strong, high-relief profile typical of Boeotian League coinage of the late third to early second century BC. The neck truncation is visible at the lower right, and the irregular flan edge is characteristic of hand-struck provincial Greek coinage.
