| Obverse description | Head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with elaborate relief decoration along the bowl and crest, rendered in the Athenian style that strongly influenced Philistian coinage of this period. The facial features are carefully modeled with a pronounced eye, defined cheekbone, and slightly parted lips. A large circular earring is visible below the helmet cheek-guard. The flan is irregular and shows a small chip at the left edge. |

| Reverse description | Forepart of a winged horse (Pegasus) facing right within a dotted square incuse, the animal depicted with outstretched wings and a mane rendered in a series of fine curls. The reverse field shows a dotted border framing the incuse square on at least two visible sides. To the lower left of the Pegasus, the Aramaic inscription 'עז' (Gaza) appears in the field. The overall execution reflects the local Philistian adaptation of Athenian and Persian artistic conventions. |
