| Beschrijving keerzijde | A large, prominent bunch of grapes occupies the central field, depicted in high relief with individually rendered berries, characteristic of the viticulture iconography associated with Tenos and the cult of Dionysos. To the left of the grape cluster, a thyrsus or vine tendril is visible, while the ethnic inscription appears flanking the bunch. The letters Tau (Τ) and Eta (Η) are positioned to either side, serving as an abbreviated ethnic denoting ΤΗΝΙΩΝ (of the Tenians). The composition is bold and well-centred on the flan, consistent with Cycladic mint practice of the late 4th century BC. |
