Obverse description A horse standing to left in the archaic style, rendered in high relief with a finely detailed mane and musculature, its head lowered in a grazing posture. Above the horse's back, a crescent symbol with its horns pointing upward is flanked by a pellet-star, both devices occupying the upper field. The overall composition fills the flan with the bold, vigorous treatment characteristic of early Thessalian coinage.
