Obverse description Two male heads facing full-front in tête-bêche arrangement, filling the entire field; the left head is depicted inverted relative to the right. The upright head to the right displays carefully rendered wavy hair and idealized youthful features in the Hellenistic style, while the inverted head to the left exhibits a more mature, bearded countenance with disheveled locks framing the face. Both faces are rendered with prominent eyes and bold, high-relief modeling characteristic of early Pontic Greek coinage. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse.
