Obverse description Draped bust of the nymph Histaia facing right, her hair elaborately wreathed with vine leaves and bunches of grapes, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical Greek style. The hair falls in flowing locks about the neck, with detailed crosshatching indicating rich texture. The portrait is rendered with expressive facial features characteristic of 4th-century Euboian coinage, occupying the full field of the flan with no legend or inscription.
