Reverse description A fully open rose blossom depicted en face, with broad petals splaying outward symmetrically and a prominent central calyx, flanked on each side by a secondary bud on a curved stem. The Greek letters M and E appear in the left and right fields respectively, flanking the central floral motif. The composition closely follows the Rhodian rose type, which served as the primary reverse device for silver coinage across Rhodes and related Carian mints during this period. The design is boldly struck and occupies the full extent of the flan.
