| Obverse description | Eagle displayed in flight to left, with wings fully spread and rendered in fine detail, the feathers articulated with granular pellets along the leading edges. The raptor's body is shown in profile with talons extended downward, the head turned to the left with a hooked beak, conveying dynamic motion. The figure is executed in high relief in the characteristic Cretan style, occupying the full field of the flan. A dotted border runs along the inner edge of the coin where the flan permits. |
