| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, its characteristic concave sides and two lateral cutouts clearly defined within a slightly raised border. The shield dominates the entire flan, with its convex central boss and the distinctive scalloped indentations at left and right faithfully reproducing the shape of the region's emblematic defensive armour. The surface of the shield displays a smooth, slightly striated field, and the design is rendered with bold, archaic simplicity characteristic of early Boeotian coinage. |
