| Obverse description | Forepart of a horse advancing to the left, rendered in robust archaic style with a finely detailed mane and muscular forequarters. The animal's raised foreleg and lowered head convey a sense of arrested movement. Partial ethnic legend MAPΩ appears in the left field, inscribed in archaic Greek characters. The design occupies the full flan, characteristic of early Thracian civic coinage. The border consists of a beaded or dotted circle. |
