| Beschrijving voorzijde | Forepart of a winged boar to right, rendered in high relief with finely engraved parallel lines delineating the spread wing and body; the eye is rendered as a prominent globular bead. The inscription ΚΛΑ appears in the upper field above the wing, identifying the issuing city of Klazomenai. The overall style is characteristic of the archaic-to-classical Ionian tradition, with bold naturalistic modeling. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Klazomenai, an Ionian Greek city on a peninsula near modern Urla in Turkey, was among the cities that paid tribute to the Delian League under Athenian hegemony during this period. The city later relocated its entire population to a nearby island — possibly as early as the fourth century — partly for defensibility against Persian pressure along the Ionian coast. Coins from this window sit squarely within that period of political instability between Athenian dominance and the reassertion of Persian control following the Peloponnesian War's conclusion in 404 BC.
