Obverse description Head of a young female deity, most likely Demeter or a local nymph, facing left, wearing a wreath of grain or olive leaves over a veil that drapes behind the neck. The portrait is rendered in fine Hellenistic style, with softly modelled facial features, a gently parted lip, and delicately incised hair visible beneath the wreath. The field is plain and unlettered, allowing the effigy to dominate the flan.

Reverse description Armoured warrior, identified as Iolaos or a Theban hero, striding dynamically to the right in a short military tunic and Corinthian helmet, holding a large round shield on his left arm and a spear or sword in his right hand. To the left stands a trophy or stele, serving as a compositional anchor. The ethnic legend ΘΗΒΑΙΩΝ is inscribed along the left field in Greek characters. The composition conveys martial vigour characteristic of late Classical and early Hellenistic Thessalian coinage.
