Reverse description Quadripartite incuse square divided diagonally into four alternating raised and sunken triangular sections, forming a distinctive mill-sail or windmill pattern characteristic of early Pontic Greek coinage. Within one of the two recessed squares, the single Greek letter Kappa (Κ) appears as a control mark or magistrate's initial. The incuse design reflects the early Greek coining technique common to Sinopean silver issues of the late fifth century BC.
