The portrait occupies the majority of the flan, with a plain field to the right.

背面描述	An eagle depicted in powerful flight to the right, its wings fully extended and rendered with bold incised feather detail. The bird grips a writhing serpent firmly in its raised talons, with the snake's body coiling below. A small star or control mark appears to the right in the field. The ethnic inscription XAΛ is placed in the lower field, serving as the city abbreviation for Chalkis. The composition fills the flan with vigorous, assured engraving characteristic of Euboian coinage of the period.
