Obverse description Boeotian shield depicted in high relief, rendered in characteristic Early Classical style, its distinctive concave form with lateral cutouts clearly delineated against a plain field. The shield's curved surface dominates the flan, with the incised outline of the cutouts visible on left and right. The design is bold and schematic, consistent with the standard Theban coinage type of the early fifth century BC.
