Obverse description Bull standing left on a dotted ground line, its head turned back to the right; a bunch of grapes on a vine tendril is depicted beneath the bull. The ethnic legend KAΛX appears in the upper right field in archaic Greek characters. The composition is rendered in a vigorous, naturalistic style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage of the fourth century BC.
