| Beschrijving keerzijde | A plain cross with fleurs-de-lis at each extremity divides the field into four quarters, each containing a crowned H monogram in relief, referencing Henry III. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by pellet stops, reads SIT NOMEN DNI BENEDICTVM followed by the date, and is characteristic of the devotional reverse type used throughout the reign. The flan is irregular and shows typical characteristics of hammered production, with the legend partially visible depending on the strike. The beaded inner border frames both the cross and the legend. |
