| Beschrijving keerzijde | A plain cross pattee divides the field into four quarters, each canton containing alternately a crowned Gothic letter F and a crowned ermine spot, the heraldic badge of Brittany. The composition thus presents two crowned F monograms and two crowned ermine spots disposed diagonally opposite one another. A toothed inner border frames the design, while the circular legend in uncial Latin, SIT nOMEn DOMInI BEnEDITVM — 'Blessed be the name of the Lord' — runs between the inner and outer borders, a standard devotional formula on French royal billon coinage of the period. |
