Reverse description A plain cross pattée divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing an alternating motif: two fleurs-de-lis and two royal crowns, with a dot above each crown. The date appears within the circular Latin legend surrounding the design, which is typical of Dombes feudal coinage of the period. The overall composition reflects standard French feudal numismatic conventions of the sixteenth century.
