Reverse description Three fleurs-de-lis arranged in a 2-1 formation occupy the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The arrangement follows the traditional French royal heraldic device as employed on tournois coinage of the period. The circular legend surrounds the inner circle and includes the date, with documented variants showing stop patterns and a crescent mark on certain dies. The overall composition is bold and well-centered, consistent with the hammered coinage of the Tours mint.
