Reverse description Within a plain inner circle, three fleurs-de-lis arranged in the French royal arms fashion, traversed diagonally by a plain bar or baton. The design occupies the full inner field and the three fleurs-de-lis are rendered in clear high relief. The circular legend containing the denomination and date runs along the outer border, separated from the inner circle by a beaded ring. The overall composition references the Tournois monetary tradition of the Capetian royal arms.
