| Obverse description | Draped bust of Henri IV facing right, depicted with short beard and period costume, enclosed within a beaded inner circle of approximately 13 mm diameter. The royal legend commences at 6 o'clock and reads around the periphery in Latin letters separated by pellets. The portrait is rendered in the distinctive crude but characteristic style of French hammered copper coinage of the late 16th century. |
