The portrait is executed in the crude hammered style typical of provincial French coinage of the late sixteenth century. The king's features, collar, and drapery are rendered in low relief consistent with the output of the Toulouse mint of this period. |

| 背面描述 | Three fleurs-de-lis arranged 2 and 1 within a beaded inner circle of approximately 13 mm diameter, representing the royal arms of France. The legend commences at 12 o'clock with a potent cross (croix de Toulouse), followed by the denomination and date in Latin capital letters. Mintmaster initials I (for Antoine Joly, 1592-1593) or C (for Jehan Clergeaut, 1592-1594) appear in the legend on certain varieties. Multiple legend variants exist, differentiated by the presence or absence of punctuation stops at the beginning and end of the inscription. |
