Reverse description Three fleurs-de-lis arranged 2 and 1 in the field, enclosed within an inner circle of approximately 13 mm diameter. The legend commences at 12 o'clock, introduced by an indented cross. A dot appears beneath the seventeenth letter of the legend. A rose mintmark, attributed to mint master Florimond Fleuriot (active 1574-1592), appears within the legend; the seventeenth point on the reverse is associated with mint guardian Cosme Menard.
