Reverse description A cross fleurdelisée (cross with fleur-de-lis terminals) is prominently displayed at the centre of the field, its arms extending to and cutting through the outer legend. The four quadrants created by the cross arms are plain. The surrounding circular legend reads MOՈETA REDOՈ, denoting the mint of Rennes, and is rendered in Gothic-influenced Latin capitals within a beaded border. The overall style is consistent with standard Breton feudal billon coinage of the mid-14th century.
