Obverse description Central crowned Gothic letter H in the field, flanked on the left by a fleur-de-lis and on the right by a dolphin, with an additional dolphin below, arranged two and one relative to the H. The crown surmounting the H is of elaborate late Renaissance form. The peripheral Latin legend is separated from the central device by a beaded inner circle. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of hammered billon coinage of the period.
