| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bull standing right, rendered in fine detail with muscular definition, facing right with head slightly lowered. Two stars appear in the upper field flanking the bull, interpreted as solar or divine symbols associated with Julian's pagan religious program and his devotion to Sol Invictus or Mithras. The reverse legend SECVRITAS REIPVB encircles the design along the rim. The exergue contains the mint mark ANTB (or variant officina letter), denoting the Antioch mint. The composition is bold and well-centered, typical of the high-quality bronze coinage struck under Julian II. |
