背面描述	The denomination and issuer inscription are arranged concentrically within the field, surrounded by a ring of twelve five-pointed stars evoking the European Union emblem. The letters E, ECU, and U are stacked vertically at centre, denoting the European Currency Unit. The circular legend LYON EUROCITÉ runs around the periphery, interrupted by the date inscription 13 AU 27 DECEMBRE and the year 1993 at the base, flanked by small decorative rosette stops. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border matching the obverse.
